Mike:
I was wondering if you had a mantra?
Kelly Mare, Akron, OH
Kelly:
Only figuratively. My mantra is to milk life for what it's worth: to squeeze every last drop of adventure, excitement, creativity, emotion, and music out of it. Sound cheesy? Sound indulgent? It is.
Phish:
Do you have a favorite tongue twister?
Jamie Fields, Buffalo, NY
Jamie:
I sure so. It used to be, and maybe still is, the hardest English tongue twister according to the GBOWR. It's, "the sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick." Note that the hardest twister in all languages is commonly thought to be an African phrase sounding something like, "Quaquuuaauauaqauauquuaau," which in English means, "The skunk rolled down and ruptured its larynx."
Mike:
When you're playing on stage, is it hard not to get distracted by the thousands of onlookers?
Tom Mortecai, Macon, GA
Tom:
It's not the onlookers that pose the threat of distraction, it's my own brain. It's the way I might think, "What are these thousands of onlookers thinking?"
