The Three Joes: A True To Life Story"

Tech Support guy named Joe on a Sunday night with a good sense of humor and a dry tone of voice says, "OK, we'll have Joe call you in the morning." Next morning Joe calls. A different Joe. Higher, livelier voice. I asked if Joe from Tech Support told him to call. He said he doesn't know anybody in tech support, that it's in a different state, and that they just get their service orders in the morning from the central offices. I ask, "Does anyone in tech support know that your name is Joe?" "No," says Joe. "They don't know us either." He asks if I still need someone to come out to the house. I say yes. He sends someone right out.

The guy gets to the door. I answer the door: "Hi. Thanks for coming. My name's Jon." As he steps inside, he extends his hand, and in a full baritone, smiles and says, "Joe." I say, "Oh, did Joe from Central Offices send you?" He says, "I don't know anyone from Central Offices. That's in a different state. We just get dispatched locally.
