I'd like to bring my kids, do they have to pay? Children under 5 are admitted free.
When will tickets be sent out? Tickets will be sent via Fedex beginning September 30th
Are day passes available? Day passes are not available.
Will tickets be available at the gate? We suggest you purchase tickets in advance to guarantee access as tickets will not be available at the gate if Festival 8 sells out.
How can I get a free ticket to Festival 8? Volunteer at Festival 8. In exchange for a minimum of 18 hours work (typically divided into 6 hour shifts), you will receive free entrance and more. Please visit https://workexchangeteam.com/phish.php.
General Rules FAQ
What if I am not camping, where do I park? If you are not camping you will need to park in Day Parking, ride one of the many private shuttles or be dropped off at the designated drop off area. If you are dropped off by your mom, make sure to give her a kiss goodbye. Seriously, moms are totally underappreciated.
If I park my car in Day Parking am I required to leave at the end of each day or can I leave my car in that lot for the weekend? Day Parking is exclusively for those who need or want to leave at the end of each day. If you plan on leaving your car overnight you may not park in Day Parking and must buy a Car Camping Pass.
What sorts of cameras are allowed on site? Video cameras and cameras with SLR or Interchangeable lenses are not allowed in the event field. You are free to take pictures or video in the campgrounds.
Will single day tickets be available? Nope. Wait, let me check. No, it's still no.
What kind of special needs facilities will you be providing? Please visit our Accessibility page for details and further contact information if needed.
We are staying at a hotel off site and plan on commuting to and from the festival. Will we be permitted to come and go each day/night? Yes, you may come and go, provided that you are parked in the Day Parking area, ride one of the many private shuttles or be dropped off at the designated drop off area. Each time you re-enter the grounds you will be subject to the same search as your initial entry. This is done for everyone's safety.
Will my cell phone work out there? It's a crapshoot. Signal strength may vary depending on your provider's coverage and the whim of Craig, our telecom systems engineer, who can be a total dick.
Can I blog from the concert field? Bring a computer inside? Sure, but if something happens to your computer, that's on you, nerd. We assume no responsibility for lost or damaged Twitter machines. #phishwebsitejokes
I will not be able to get there until 3 AM on Sat. morning. Is this going to be OK? What's so important you can't get there until 3?
It's a family issue, and I don't feel comfortable sharing it with the Internet. Sorry, didn't mean to pry. Yes, camping gates will be attended 24 hours a day throughout the event from Thursday - Sunday.
Can I get back any items confiscated either at the campground or concert field entrance? There will be NO check-in area for disallowed items. All patrons and vehicles will be subject to a search by security personnel. Please be advised that the security company, facility, promoters & performers will not be responsible for any items confiscated during search procedures.
What is the taping policy going to be? Will we need to get tapers tickets? Audio taping will be permitted in the designated taper section only on a first-come first-served basis. What is the security going to be like there? Event staff including trained, professional security, mounted (horse) patrols and Indio police will be present in and around the grounds for the entire duration of the event. Do not offer apples or sugar cubes to any law enforcement official, equine or human.
Will I be able to be dropped off each day and picked up each night? The answer is yes, the designated drop-off point will be announced soon
Where do I go to report or find a missing child? You should report your missing child to the nearest staff person, security or police officer with a walkie-talkie radio.
Can I share my ticket with someone if I go one day and my friend goes the other? No. Each ticket holder will be issued a non-transferable wristband, which must be worn at all times during the event. Was this plan your friend's idea? He sounds shady.

Can I Bring...
Can I bring an umbrella to block the sun? You can bring an umbrella into the event area but not into the concert area. Sorry, they block the view of other festival goers.
What about bringing in my medical prescription? example: Diabetic insulin? You should identify yourselves to security while waiting to enter the venue. Security will locate the medical folks adjacent to the main entrance, and they will assist you in storing and providing a secure area for diabetics. ALL Medical prescriptions and accompanying names on those containers will need to match the person's proper ID.
Can I bring in eye drops for my contact lenses? For your "contact lenses""? Really? That's what you're going with? Okay, but they need to be in a marked container.
Can I bring a water squirt gun or mister? Sorry, these will not be allowed into the venue, though there might be some mister fans available for purchase onsite.

Can I bring Chapstick? Yes, but what do you have against other brands of lip balm? Wait a second, are you one of those people who are paid to go into FAQs and chat up certain products?

Are strollers allowed into the venue? Yes if it is for an infant/toddler and not your friend Robbie Hutcheson who thinks it's hilarious to squeeze into a stroller and yell "I'm a baby!"
Will there be vegetarian/vegan food offered? Duh. It's a Phish show.
Will there be Disabled person parking/bathrooms? Where? YES Check back for more information.
Will I be able to find security if needed? Yes. But in Soviet Russia, security find you. Yakov Smirnoff, whatever happened to that guy?
Will there be payphones inside the venue? Sorry, no. Last time we checked, it's 2009.
Will beer or alcohol be available for purchase at the General Store on site? No beer or alcohol will be sold at the General Store. Beer will be available for purchase in the concert grounds. Hacky sacks will not be available for purchase anywhere on site.
Will there be ATMs? Yes, ATMs will be both inside and outside the venue grounds and clearly marked on the festival guide. Why, are you planning some sort of Ocean's 11-style heist at the festival? (Note to self: screenplay idea.)
Will there be lockers on site? There are a very limited amount of lockers available for rent. Please go to: Lockers Online. There will also be a changing tent near there so you can change clothes in privacy if need be.
Will there be a Lost & Found? (Lost keys, cell phones, etc.) Yes, there will be a combination Lost & Found AND Information booth area which will be clearly marked on the festival guide.
Will there be First Aid on site?Yes. First Aid stations will be on site, clearly visible to find, and clearly marked on the festival guide.
Will there be drinking fountains? And/or how much is water? Yes there will be free drinking fountains; bottled water will be sold for only $2 at numerous vendor locations, and check out our new filtered water program
Will there be a sunglasses / visors or hats / sunscreen sold? Yes there will be booths on site with those items.
Could you maybe just turn off the sun so that water and sunscreen won't be an issue? We could, but that would result in the extinction of all life on earth. Is that what you want?
Will there be a festival map available ahead of time so we can see locations of food courts, bathroom areas? Yes. It will also be on the festival guide being passed out upon entrance.
I locked my keys in my car, my car won't start. Will there be a tow truck or AAA on site? There will be a tow truck on site and AAA on standby. Seriously, these guys love towing.
Where is the nearest train stop and/or bus stop? Downtown Indio about 3 miles from the venue.
Where is the nearest Gas Station? Monroe & 111.
Every hotel is sold out. What can I do? Don't give up. Try looking on our Hotels page. Try Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, etc. etc.
Is there anything else I should know? It'd be nice if you'd learn the state capitals. As for the festival, pace yourself and stay hydrated! It's very important to drink enough water, eat properly and get enough sleep so that you can enjoy each day of the event. Be a good neighbor: Watch other people's stuff and they will watch yours. Steal other people's stuff and they'll steal yours. See how that works?
CAMPING FAQ
Can we bring alcohol? Reasonable amount of beer (limited to 1 case of beer per person) (NO KEGS, NO GLASS, NO LIQUOR, NO BARTLES, NO JAYMES), for personal consumption only (NO VENDING), by folks who are of legal age (21), will be permitted to be brought onto the camping areas (not concert area). If, however, in the security's judgment it appears that the amount of alcohol is excessive for the number of persons in the vehicle, or if anyone in the vehicle is under 21 years of age, the organizers reserve the right to deny entry of the vehicle and/or confiscate the alcohol. Kegs may not be brought onto the property. Please keep these things in mind and be sensible about how much you plan to bring in. Beer will be available for purchase on the concert field.
Where do people that are staying with me in my RV but driving up separately park for the weekend? A separate companion parking area will be provided. For young people and their companions.
I plan on camping on site for the entire weekend, but do not plan on bringing a car. Is this ok? Yes. We will be able to accommodate those who plan on camping for the weekend without a car. You will not be required to purchase a car camping pass, but just a regular camping ticket. We'll have more details about the location of car-less camping soon this soon, but in the meantime, you can plan your travel.
Can young people camp without companions? No. Young people must always camp with their companions. Companions, however, can camp alone.
Can my friends and I bring instruments and amplifiers and jam in the campground? Only acoustic instruments will be allowed in camping (no instruments in the concert area). If we allowed everyone who asks to bring amplifiers, it would be a free-for-all, and not fair to fellow campers who might not want to hear your music. (Specifically you, guy who does reggae covers of Coldplay.)
May I make a campfire or use a stove to cook?
Feel free to bring your own food and beverages into the camping area. However, campfires, fire pits, fire cages or any open flames are not allowed anywhere on site. RV's may use their factory installed interior cooking & climate control devices. Please bring pre-cooked foods, like Chef Piddlydoo's Sandwich-in-a-Can, now in Ragin' Cajun Chicken flavor. NO open flame cooking, including beans in a can.
Here are some more details from the Fire Marshall: 1. All cooking appliances shall bear a certification or listing from a nationally recognized test or certification organization. 2. A minimum of 3 feet of clearance shall be maintained at all times while cooking appliance is in use. No combustible material shall be within 3 feet of the cooking appliance. 3. Cooking appliance that only utilizes propane as the fuel source shall be permitted. No wood, charcoal, flammable/combustible liquid cooking appliances permitted. 4. One cooking appliance per camp site shall be permitted 5. Maximum amount of propane per campsite shall not exceed 20 pounds or 48 pounds of water capacity. 6. Cooking appliances shall only be used during the hours of 7:00am to 2:00 am 7. Cooking appliances, when in use, shall not be left unattended.

Can we park wherever we want and move once we are in?
The parking staff will direct you to your camping area when you arrive. Groups who wish to camp in the same vicinity should plan to meet far from the festival grounds to line up their vehicles and stay together prior to entering the gates. It will not be possible to hold spaces for other vehicles arriving later. Once you are parked in a camping area you may not move your vehicle for the duration of the festival. This is for your safety and the safety of your neighbors. If you plan to drive in and out of the event grounds over the weekend, you should park in the DAY PARKING area. Ask the parking staff to direct you there upon entering the festival grounds. Please understand that when anyone disregards the parking and camping instructions it can create a domino effect that will ultimately impact everyone's comfort and safety. And no one likes domino effects, except for this guy.
Given the configuration and the limitations of this site we need everyone to cooperate with the staff and park where directed and remain there. This is the only way that we can be able to accommodate all ticket holders on the property.
I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. You can ride your bike to the show, but not in the event area. No bikes are allowed in the camping or concert area. An area will be provided to lock your bicycle adjacent to the Event Area.
What is the age limit for camping? All campers must be 18 or older unless accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.
Will there be bathrooms/showers? Handicap accessible? Private? You seem really interested in the bathrooms. That's kind of weird.
It's not weird, I just want to know-- No, whatevs, We're here to answer your questions. Yes, there will bathrooms and showers available. Separate M/F trailers (with individual privacy) and there will be handicap accessible facilities for both as well.
Will you provide RV hookups? RV hookups will not be provided on site.
Can I bring a small trailer attached to my car into the Car Camping area or do I need to obtain an RV Camping Pass? No. All pulled trailers (even small ones) need to go into the RV Camping area.
What is the size of the camping area each car camping space is allotted? Each car camping space is 10x30 (feet, not inches).
I have a full size van or WV Bus. Can I still park it in the Car Camping section, or do I need to park it in the RV section since I plan on sleeping in it? You can park in the Car Camping area.
Can I bring food/beverages/chairs & a cooler into the camp areas? Yes! That is to say, yes. No glass containers, though. And you can't bring them into the concert area.
Will there be food booths or a general store in the camping area?
Yes, there will be a store selling various sundry items which may include: Advil, Air Mattresses, Aloe Gel, Anacin, Band-Aids, Batteries AA, AAA, C, Benadryl, Bug spray, Chap stick, Cigarettes, Festival merch (sweaters, tanks), Condoms, Disposable cameras, Ear plugs, Eye Drops, Ice Bags, Lighters, Lotion, Tent Stakes, Mini/ Small Flashlights, Mini Deodorant, Mini Hand Sanitizer, Mini soap bars, Motrin IB, Mouthwash, Neosporin, Pepto, Rolaids, Sunscreen, Tampons, Rope, Tissue packets, Toothpaste/Toothbrush combo pack, Water, Tylenol, Wet-one Wipes, Tents, tent stakes etc. Open: TBA (Hours and Items subject to change)
